RiskMAP/Floodmaps File eXchange (FFX) Site Flood Hazard Mapping Bulletins Coastal Hazard Mapping Bulletins cHECk-RAS Bulletins Quick-2 Bulletins National Flood Frequency Bulletins -- Cooperating Technical Partners Database -- Risk MAP/Floodmaps File e Xchange (FFX) Site FEMA developed and maintains the Risk MAP/Floodmaps File eXchange , or FFX, site to facilitate the transfer of large files other than those files that should be uploaded to the Mapping Information Platform to and from FEMA or between other organizations using File Transfer Protocol technology. Flood Hazard Mapping Bulletin Archive These bulletins provide FEMA contractors, mapping partners, mapping program stakeholders, and map users with updates and information on a variety of topics and activities associated with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), the Flood Map Modernization (Map Mod) effort, and the flood hazard mapping program. Visit the Flood Hazard Mapping Bulletin Archive Coastal Hazards Mapping Bulletins These bulletins provide FEMA contractors, mapping partners, mapping program stakeholders, and map users with up-to-date coastal flood hazard information pertinent to FEMA, the NFIP, the Map Mod effort, and the flood hazard mapping program. Topics include coastal analysis and modeling software programs, including Coastal Hazard Analysis Modeling Program (CHAMP) sample problems and improvements; coastal flood hazard restudies; digital mapping advances; accepted model list updates; technical guidelines and specifications; and conferences and training. View the Coastal Hazards Bulletin Archive C HECk-RAS Bulletins These bulletins provide FEMA contractors and mapping partners with helpful information and training on the use of the cHECk-RAS computer program. The cHECk-RAS program was designed to verify the validity of an assortment of parameters found in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers HEC-RAS hydraulic modeling program. The bulletins work through several different quality control and quality assurance checks involving HEC-RAS Version 2.2 and later versions that can be implemented using cHECk-RAS; they address simple and complex modeling issues; and they provide news and announcements concerning cHECk-RAS uses, bugs, and version updates. View the cHECk-RAS Bulletin Archive Quick-2 Bulletins These bulletins provide FEMA contractors and mapping partners with helpful information and training on the use of the Quick-2 computer program. The Quick-2 program is a Microsoft DOS hydraulic analysis program (similar to HEC-2) used to compute water-surface elevations in open channels. Quick-2 was developed to accompany the FEMA guidance manual FEMA-265, Managing Floodplain Development in Approximate Zone A Areas: A Guide for Obtaining and Developing Base Flood Elevations . Quick-2 is designed to assist community engineers, architect and engineering firms, developers, and others at the local level who may be required to develop Base Flood Elevations for Special Flood Hazard Areas that have been designated as Zone A on NFIP maps. The bulletins include solutions to simple and complex problems users have or may encounter as well as news and announcements concerning Quick-2 uses, bugs, and version updates. View the Quick-2 Bulletin Archive National Flood Frequency Bulletins These bulletins provide FEMA contractors and mapping partners with helpful information and training on the use of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Flood Frequency (NFF) computer program. The NFF program is used to estimate peak discharges for unregulated streams. Values (discharges) derived by the program often serve as input for other applications (such as hydraulic computer models) that are used to technically support end-products (map revisions) of the NFIP. Topics that have been or will be covered in the bulletins include application of the NFF program and USGS regression equations; revisions to the USGS regression equations since the NFF software was released; locations from which to obtain the NFF program and USGS regression equation documentation; parameters of USGS regression equations and how to obtain them; examples in which USGS regression equations are used for NFIP purposes; and responses to any questions, problems, or comments from mailing list subscribers. View the National Flood Frequency Bulletin Archive The following additional sites also are accessible to designated FEMA staff and agency representatives through this page; however, a FEMA-provided password is necessary. Cooperating Technical Partners Database Access to the CTP Database is limited to designated FEMA staff and agency representatives. However, up-to-date information about active partnerships is available on the CTP News portion of the website. You may obtain information about partnerships in any state, including partner profiles and copies of pertinent documents. We encourage you to visit the CTP website or contact your Regional CTP Coordinator . Visit the CTP Database -- Skip footer content. Share This Page.
